The main goal of the CQDM Explore program is to support new unconventional and highly innovative research projects that could strongly impact the drug discovery process.
This year, CQDM anticipates financing 3 to 5 innovative projects for up to $300,000 per project. Explore program is widely open to the scientific community from the public and private sectors.
CQDM's funding will be awarded following a competitive process in 2 stages. Applicants must submit a letter of intent before February 21st, 2012.
The selection of the letters of intent will be overseen by the CQDM's Explore Advisory Committee. Only applicants whose letter of intent will be selected will be invited to submit a full project proposal before June 12th, 2012.
Evaluation of the proposals will involve an international peer review led by the Fonds de la recherche du Québec - Santé (FRQS) and a risk analysis performed by CQDM. Announcement of the final selection will be made on September 24th, 2012.
