  • Max Fehlmann, Ph.D., MBA
    President and Chief Executive Officer

     

    Max Fehlmann has over 25 years of R&D management and business development experience gained within public research organizations and several biopharmaceutical companies. With a doctorate in Biochemistry from Université Laval, a doctorate in Pharmacology from the Université de Nice and an executive MBA from the Université de Nice-Sophia Antipolis, Mr. Fehlmann began his career in research at the INSERM in France as the head of an immunology research unit and then went on to create a federal research institute within the Faculty of Medicine at the Université de Nice. Following a sabbatical year at Harvard, Mr. Fehlmann left the INSERM to establish Aster, a biotechnology company specialized in reproductive immunology and biology. He was simultaneously appointed a professor at the Faculty of Science in Nice to oversee the senior professional diploma in pharmacology. In 1996, Zambon Group (Milan, Italy) bought Aster and appointed Mr. Fehlmann Vice-President of R&D for Zambon Group with responsibility for all research activities in Italy, Switzerland, the United States and France. In 2003, he was appointed President and CEO of Chronogen in Montreal. Since March 2008, Max Fehlmann is President and CEO at CQDM, an industrial consortium that brings together all of Québec's stakeholders in drug research.
