    Director of Finance and Administration

     

    Michael Bridges joined the CQDM' team in June 2010. He is a senior Financial Executive with extensive experience with a TSX listed medical device company and in public accountancy. He secured or helped to secure funds in excess of $200 million and has a proven track record in planning, building, and launching a successful company. He is a Chartered Accountant with a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Concordia University and a Diploma in Public Accountancy from McGill University. He has 15 years experience in Public Accountancy first with KPMG and subsequently with WSBG as Audit Manager & Audit Partner. From 1996 until 2008 he held positions of Controller, Director of Finance, and Corporate Secretary at CryoCath Technologies Inc a TSX listed medical device company.  During this time he worked in the fields of equity financing, financial reporting and disclosure, taxation, risk management, treasury, and corporate governance.  After its acquisition until 2010 he acted as Director of Finance of the successor organization, Medtronic CryoCath LP, a wholly owned entity of Medtronic Inc, a NYSE listed company.
