  • Mounia Azzi, Ph.D.
    Director of Programs

     

    Mounia Azzi joined the CQDM’s team in July 2010 as Director of Programs. Prior to joining CQDM, Mounia was Investment Manager in Life Sciences at MSBi Valorization where she was responsible for all the aspects of valorization and investment of opportunities, including the identification, evaluation, due-diligence, negotiation and fundraising for projects from McGill, Sherbrooke and Bishop’s Universities. She was also actively involved in business development activities with potential industrial partners in the life sciences sector. Mounia was previously leading the cellular biology group at Bellus Health (formerly Neurochem), where she was involved in the development of therapeutics targeting Alzheimer’s disease and diabetes. Mounia holds a PhD degree in Neurosciences from Pierre et Marie Curie University in Paris. She spent seven years as Post-doctoral Fellow then Research Associate at the department of Biochemistry and Physiology at the University of Montreal.
